Obituary for Renn Hurd

(June 24, 1969 - April 8, 2021)
It is with heavy, heavy hearts that the family sadly shares the passing of Renn.
Renn will be so very missed by sisters Shaun (Don), Roxanne, & Carrie, nieces and nephew Anne (Alex), Josh, & Kim (Dave), great nephew and nieces Eli, Olivia, & Dana, Judith Hart, and his very many friends.
Predeceased by Mom (Betty David), Step-Dad (Bob David), Grandma (Theresa Hellam), Father (Merv Hurd), & Beloved canine companion, Dodger.
Originally from Sudbury, Renn returned after many years in Ottawa where he worked for Richcraft homes after working at and then running the family business (Mr. Gas Tank).
He will be remembered for his amazing sense of humour , his “need for speed” - bombing down the highway on his bike, his love of fishing, and for being a truly awesome son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was happiest sharing time with family and friends having a day on the lake (catching a big one and cracking a cold one), or a day on the golf course. He was a well-rounded and talented athlete never losing his love for baseball. A devoted fan of the Bruins, he created a fun-loving rivalry with his Leaf Fan sisters and friends.
Renn will rest along side his Mom, Step-Dad, & Dodger at Waters Cemetery after a private service.
