Connie was a wonderful part of my growing up. Being best friends with Jennifer, I was over at their place all the time, and just loved hanging out with Connie. She was a generous, loving woman who made you laugh, even sometimes without trying. I have so many fond and loving memories of the White family, I miss and think of them everyday. My deepest condolences to Jonathon and family. I am thinking of you all,especially today.

A couple of years ago, I volunteered to lead an afternoon book club at the South End Library. Deciding to throw caution to the winds, I picked 50 Shades of Grey, the most popular and controversial book at the time. Connie immediately signed up and mentioned that it should be quite the conversation and could hardly wait. I am still not sure if people were embarrassed or appalled by my selection but Connie and I were the only ones who were brave enough to show up! Well, that was one of the most interesting and funny hours of my life. It was then that Connie and I really became friends and I will always appreciate and never forget her encouragement and her faith in me, even when times were tough......I also remember how much Connie loved dogs. She was always offering to dogsit for me and finally, last Christmas, my Goldie Mia, had the pleasure of sharing Christmas with Connie and her son. My puppy is 7 and has never been left with anyone else but she had a blast with Connie and Jon, not missing me at all. I remember Connie joking that she wished all her house guests were as well behaved as Mia! Connie, we miss you.

Connie was "one of a kind" and all of us who had the honour to know her, will miss her deeply, including my Golden Retriever, Mia! I first met Connie at the South End Library and I admired her passion for the written word and her dedication to her volunteer work at the library. She had such a green thumb and took wonderful care of our gardens. Oh, the things she would find when tending to them! She loved our book clubs and I could always count on her honesty and dry wit to keep things lively during my book chat. I knew her as a devoted reader, dedicated volunteer and ultimately as a dear friend. I miss you Connie, and to her family and friends, my deepest and most sincere sympathies.

Connie was a generous soul. An angel on earth. Not only she is the most devoted mother I've known, but she took in her family the ones that needed a family. Always straight forward and honest, you knew when she said something, she meant it. She never miss at jeopardy, what a smart lady. Thank you for you generous heart, love and care.

I had the pleasure of working with Connie at the Greater Sudbury Public Library through her volunteer work as part of the Friends of the GSPL. As already mentioned, she was a dedicated volunteer and always such a positive person. She had a great sense of humour and never seemed to stop moving. On behalf of all the staff at the Library, we will miss her very much.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Connie. I worked with her for some years as a laboratory technologist at the St. Joseph Hospital and at MDS. She had a great sense of humour and was well liked by all who knew her. She was also a GREAT medical technologist.

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Connie. I had the pleasure of meeting Connie a couple of years ago through my Mom, Deb, who met Connie at the book club at the Sudbury Library in the south end. Connie was such fun to spend time with! She was a real fire cracker with a great sense of humour and a real zest for life. She will be dearly missed. My condolences again. Dana and family. xo

We are very sorry to see her go. Connie worked very hard for other people, especially with the Friends of the Greater Sudbury Public Library. She took a special care in the South Branch by taking care of the gardens. She was a faithful participant in raising funds for the Friends by attending the many book sales. She enjoyed meeting with all the people who came and browsed and bought. She was the most genuine and down-to-earth person we knew. She had a good sense of humour and said things as they were. We will miss her and the Friends will fondly remember her.
