Obituary for Wendy Claire Lundgren (Ripley)

WENDY CLAIRE LUNDGREN (RIPLEY)
July 7, 1953 – December 7, 2019

Wendy passed suddenly, Saturday evening, in the loving arms of her husband, at home in Sudbury.

Wendy leaves behind her husband Ronald and son Keith (of Olds, Alberta). Predeceased by her father Donald and mother Anne-Marie (nee Stevens) Ripley. Her siblings mourn her passing: Suzanne (predeceased), Donni (Dave Bodner), John, Teresa (Preston), Tom (Deborah), Paula (Rick), and Stephen, as well as many nieces and nephews in Sudbury, Ottawa, Toronto, Alberta, and British Columbia. Wendy was the second mother to her siblings. Family (related or not) were of paramount importance.

Wendy grew up on Ramsey Lake and was often to be found at Austin Airways or The Ramsey Lake Canoe Club. Wendy was a true extrovert. Anyone getting on the elevator at the Provincial Tower was a friend before their floor (if they remembered their floor number!). Wendy was also a lover of dogs and would not let a dog or its walker pass by without chatting to the dog and maybe the owner. Wendy loved gardening until her Fibromyalgia slowed her down.
