In loving memory of Helen Elizabeth Koski who passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22nd, 2021 at Health Sciences North at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Oiva Koski predeceased 1974. Loving mother of David (wife Debbie; 1st wife Donna predeceased), Tom (wife Cindy), Kerry (wife Christine), Lila (Rob Pinkerton), Michael, Helga (Phil Burton). Cherished Mumma of Wayne, Eero, Sonia, Sarah, Aaron, Robin, Sean, Ryan, Emily, Tanya, Mellisa, Nathan, Heather, Justin, and Michael, and 8 great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Eero and Sylvia Basto predeceased. Dear sister of Miriam Laframboise (husband Don predeceased), Jack Basto and Cynthia Gideon predeceased (husband Roy), Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Helen was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, collecting dolls, and appreciated antiques. She will be remembered as a well loved and respected person. The focus of her life was he loving family. She was the happiest in their company. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff at the Regional Cancer Center and the Homecare team for their excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Norther Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral service will be held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at 1:30pm. Friends may gather after 11am. Interment beside her husband at the Waters Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 directives, a maximum of 50 people in visiting room at a time and a maximum of 80 in the chapel.
