Obituary for Maurice Jean Paquette

It is with heavy hearts that we are so sad to announce the sudden passing of Maurice “Moe” Paquette peacefully at Pioneer Manor on March 28, 2021. Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Claire. He will be forever remembered by his children Lynn (predeceased), Joanne, Daniel (predeceased), Michelle (Christopher), and his loving grandchildren Teena, Jason, Melanie, Trevor, Dylan, Nicholas, Brooklynn, Chanel, Hunter, and so many great grandchildren. Maurice was born, raised, and lived in Sudbury all his life. He worked at Inco for many years and then enjoyed a wonderful, retired life at the French River cottage in Wolesley Bay. His pride and joy, his cottage was a labour of love that was enjoyed by the whole family.... fishing, hunting, swimming, and let’s not forget the chores shared by all! Maurice and Claire hosted many epic get-togethers that always involved family, friends, food, and a lot of singing that can still be heard down the river…… Visitation will be offered with current Covid protocols at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, April 1st, 2021 at St. Jean de Brebeuf Church, 26 Kathleen St., Sudbury at 10am. Donations to the Sudbury Food Bank on the behalf of the Paquette family would be appreciated.
