Ron was my morning school bus driver. He would always greet me with a kind smile and a warm or funny comment. When I sat up front, he always took pleasure in talking to me. His sense of humour made me especially happy. He was the best bus driver that I've ever had! Whenever I ride my bus in the morning, memories of his kindness will come back to me. I will remember him forever! My condolences to his family and friends.

It is with the greatest of sadness that I write this. Ron was my best friend in school, from McLeod to Lockerby. The stories I could tell you about growing up with such a great and adventurous guy. From skating on the lake when the ice was to thin or swimming after a steamer when the ice was still in, playing football. hockey,curling, poker and taking part in all those things that young men do. He was and is a great friend and even though I left Sudbury in the late 70's when I can back to visit it was as if no time had past. I wish I had visited him more often. I will miss him. Love ya Ron

Speaking on behalf of my mom (who lives at the corner of Lloyd and Short) she was and still is very upset at the hearing of your passing as she very much enjoyed talking to you when you walked Jet and giving you some of her flowers that she had grown. She enjoyed all the times that your daughter would come over for treats and she will miss you tremendously. There will not be a time when she will look out of her front window and look at your house and not think of you. For myself, Claudio her son, it was very comforting knowing that she was very comfortable and safe with you as a GREAT neighbor and a friend. Rest in peace my friend and God Bless. I worked with Ron in the mid to late seventies through the Nickel District Conservation Authority and the Ontario Experience projects of that time. We got our work done with much laughter and many "shenanigans", usually led by Ron. He was a character and a charmer who was loved by all. I will never forget those wonderful days we shared. Somewhere in heaven, an MGB is racing around with the top down...how he loved that car! My sympathies to the Collins family. Maureen Oshell

My heartfelt condolences to Ron's family. Let me Start by saying Denise you have always been so nice to me at Dominikon Food Stores and you were the one who introduced your son Ron to me as we both looked for a roomate in London in 1976. Not knowing each other at all. Both Ron and myself set out to London in July of 1976. We found a 2 bedroom apartment to share as we commenced or college in September of 1976. Ron had an infectious personality that attracted people to him. We moved in early September (135 Connaught Apt 307) and then it started. I can only say I never had so much innocent fun with Ron. Yes he was an awesome disco dancer. We danced at many night clubs the Bavarian, West End and of course our favorite the original "Mingles" at the Talbot Inn in London.

We were cool dudes but Ronnie was the coolest, funnest and most charasmatic guy I have met.

Dear Ron I did not make the best Koolaid you have ever tasted you just said that so I can always make it. Cheers to you my friend.

My deepest sympathy to the Family and friends of Ron.
