Dear Ray, Jim, Paul and families, Our deepest sympathy on the loss of Eileen. She held a special place in her cousin Phyllis's heart. Phyllis's current memory is not very good and she is not able to send wishes herself but she certainly remembers Eileen and Ray and many happy times shared together. Many thanks for that. Eileen was a terrific mentor in my early days at CKSO/CIGM. We spent long hours talking and planning programming. I will miss her smile and support. My deepest condolences to Eileen's family.

I don't know how many times I checked facts or grammar with Eileen before I said something on the air...I knew she'd have the answer and invariably did...She was always a "lady"... and I mean that in the best sense...and elevated our environment at CKSO...I was proud to know her...I'm sorry to hear she's gone...My condolences to the family...

Every once in a while you get to work with someone who is so talented, so capable and so nice it doesn't feel like work at all. I first worked with Eileen in 1965 at CKSO. She helped me with my career immeasurably. Linda and I send our condolences to the entire Forbom family. She was a real winner.

I wish to extend my most sincere sympathies to the Forbom family on the passing of Eileen. I will never forget her kindness in offering me my first job in radio as an operator. I treasure the memories of working with all the staff at the station. She certainly knew the business. She was firm when she needed to be but was fair and patient. I recall an event in which I editorialized the CBC on coming in late (seems so insignificant now) on the Fault Report. Very diplomatically, she stated that several departments get a copy of the report and it would be a good idea to just list the facts! Thank you Eileen for your kindness and belief in me. To Paul, Jim and Mr. Forbom, I hope you will find comfort in family and also in knowing how many lives she touched, not only in broadcasting but also in the community at large. She was indeed a busy lady. Even though now many years later, she will be missed and thought of by so many. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked closely with Eileen from 1969 to 1974 at CKSO-FM. I programmed and aired all the classical music programs on FM and Eileen shared my taste in music. She was a joy to work with. A guy couldn't have asked for a better "boss" than Eileen. Many years after I left CKSO, Eileen and I communicated with each other by mail and she held a special place in my heart. I will miss her tremendously.

So many memories. I can remember going to CKSO with my dad and talking to Eileen. But the best memories were on Panache.. Always looked forward to visiting with John and Kate. Eileen was so gracious to all of us. The meals she prepared for our suppers were wonderful, but even better we're the conversations we all shared. Memories are precious and we should be thankful to have them to share Will love and miss her. John and Susie
