She was passionate about her work and often took the time to talk to her students as a group about societal evemts. Unlike the other ho-hum teachers, Mrs. Bramah had a spark, a desire to teach us. I remember one day she played the 'telephone game' with us where one student started out with a 'story' and the story was passed from student to student (after we switched seats randomly). Sure enough the story was quite different in the end.

Mrs. Bramah often called upon hr students to speak the paragraphs of the stories we were reading. She was also the first an only teacher to grant me a recommendation to skip my exam (due to my achievements in English).

No word of a lie... almost 15 years later I wrote her a latter thanking her for the recommenation and thanking her for her passion to helping us. I'm not sure if she evr received it, as can't recell ever mailing it. Yet mere months ago I remember trying to track her down to mak sure knew just how much she meant to me....    still 3 decades later.
