Born January 31st, 1923, Liverpool, England, died April 26th, 2017, Extendicare York, Sudbury.
Beloved wife of Steve Kelemen predeceased 2004. Dear daughter of Thomas McCormack and Mary Ellen McCormack both predeceased. Loving mother of Thomas (wife Lorraine nee Yaskiw), Patricia (husband Glen Maltby), Peter predeceased (wife Debbie nee Roininen). Nana of Mark Maltby (wife Jennifer), Ian Maltby, Andrew Maltby, Marni Maltby (fiancé Alex Crema), Stephanie Kelemen and Aila Kelemen (fiancé Tim Sarazin). Great Nana of Graeme Maltby, Madelyn Maltby and Lily Kelemen Sarazin. Older sister of Mary Mount (Eric), Thomas McCormack, Patrick McCormack, Peter McCormack (Ellen), Elizabeth Russiano (Joseph) all predeceased. Sister in law of Louis Kelemen predeceased (Julia) and Julia Dregger (Leo predeceased) and predeceased by Elizabeth Thomas (Ben), Mary Vinek (Richard) and Helen (Robert). Aunt of Stephen Mount (Karen), Simon Mount (Anne), Lindsey Guthrie (Andrew), John Mount (Julie), David, Marie and Helen Russiano in England. Many Canadian, Kelemen nieces and nephews all over Western Canada.
Born and raised in Liverpool, England. She served in Great Britain’s Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during WWII at various air bases in Southern England. Met Steve, a member of the Canadian Army, when he was stationed in England. They married in Liverpool in November 1945. Mom came to Canada as one of the many WWII War Brides. Coming to a new life but did miss “home” (England) and her family. She had a very strong dislike for the mosquitoes and black flies. She enjoyed travelling, knitting and reading. She was a member of both the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 503 and the Ladies Legion Auxiliary. Mom is now at peace and with out pain. She no longer has to endure the confusion of a world she doesn’t understand.
