Kalevi Vakiparta
June 16th, 1926 – May 2nd, 2017
Who passed away peacefully at Finlandia Village at age 90, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Finland, Kalevi immigrated with his wife in 1957 to Canada where he worked with Acme Construction until he retired. He was a skilled builder who loved doing handiwork around the house, spending time with family and friends at the cottage and travelling with his wife Elvi. He liked playing card games and taking walks outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife Elvi who he was married to for 61 years, his son Mikko Vakiparta and daughter Leena Vakiparta. His smiling “I Love Yous’” will be dearly missed.

At Kalevi’s request there will be no funeral services or visitation.
A Celebration of life will be held at Finlandia at a later date.
