Auntie Heather, Shannon, Shayne and family...
My deepest condolences, sympathy and sadness shared as we have lost a shining star.
Uncle Richard made an impression on everyone who's life he touched. A true character, with nothing but passion and enthusiasm for life, and living it to its fullest. I dearly remember that of all my parents friends Uncle Richard made me feel special and that I mattered. He and Aunt Heather were some of the first to teach me that friends are close, if not closer than family. I specifically remember asking why we called them Uncle and Auntie, and Shannon and Shayne called my parents the same. And your Richard explained it to a wide eyed curly haired girl perfectly. He said that friends can love and be loved, like u love your family. And be just as close, if not closer. That he and my Dad were like Brothers. So he's like my Uncle. All this explained by the campfire at the trailer over marshmallows ... some great vivid memories.
He is gone too soon.. way to soon. But what a vibrant character with an incredible zest for life. 💙All my love. Marissa
