Smiling, laughing and with a listening ear, Elise would always say hello, talk to people and welcome them into her heart and home. With her great sense of humor and caring heart, she made so many people feel special. She loved her Dalmatian “Partner” and her new little canine friend “Mia”.
Her favorite pastimes included; baking, cooking, creating her art work, which included many paintings and beautiful Bunka embroidery which are proudly displayed in her daughter’s homes. She had the greenest thumb in the family and enjoyed taking care of her African Violets and many other house plants. Evenings were spent talking on the phone with her daughters, knitting, and listening to her audio books and music. She will be forever missed by her daughters.
Elise enjoyed being a member of the Royal Canadian Legion where she attended many lunches and dances. She was also known as a fierce competitor in bowling tournaments and euchre challenges. Elise often talked about all her friends at Bonik Towers where she resided and enjoyed entertaining and playing cards with them on a regular basis. Elise and her late husband Jim had a passion for boating, fishing and enjoying their home located on Trout Lake in the summers and spending many winters in Florida.
The family would like to thank the staff in the Emergency Department, ICU, oncology unit and Cancer Treatment Centre at Health Sciences North for their care and compassion.
