Heartfelt condolences to you Pat and your brother Cornel on the loss of your Mother.

Betty Jasinsky was an amazing nurse and a lady.

I first met Betty in the early 1960’s when we worked on F Floor in the Old St Jos’s Hospital here in Sudbury. She was a Private Duty Nurse and I was a newly graduated RN.

Betty nursed her patients in the Private Rooms and they were of the most complicated cases and often many were prominent Sudburians.

Betty was mentor to the younger RNs, a distinguish colleague to her peers and much respected by her Supervisors (Sisters of the Grey Cross)

Our career paths crossed once again in the mid 1970’s at the newly built Laurentian Hospital. Betty was then an accomplished orthopedic nurse working on the Orthopedic 6th Floor.

Over the years Betty was active in our St Elizabeth School of Nursing Alumni and it was always a pleasure to meet up with her and reminisce about our earlier nursing days and share our adventures in the retirement phase of our lives.

In those days back when…Betty always talked about her children, her daughter Pat and her son Cornel.

Those Night Duty shifts when we worked together, seem like yesterday.

There is a special bond between nurses who have trained and worked together.

 She will be missed by many.
