Kawa, Stella

It is with heavy hearts that the loving family of Stella Kawa announce her passing on February 13th, 2018 at Fairview Lodge in Whitby, ON.

Stella was the loving mother to Larry (June), Sharon (Gerry, predeceased) and Mallory (Lynn). She was also the loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and by their account she was the best grandmother you could ever ask for. She was loving down to her last breath, even if you broke her clothesline or beat her at scrabble.

Stella also leaves behind 14 great grandchildren, who will always miss their favorite great-grandmother and scrabble tycoon.

Stella survived her husband Michael and she was always faithful that one day in God’s presence they will be reunited. Although we miss her beyond comprehension, we will walk in her path of faith and trust in our hearts that she is with our Lord, tending to his gardens.

The visitation will be held at Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Sudbury on Friday, February 16th, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral mass will be conducted at Christ the King, Roman Catholic Church, 30 Beech St., Sudbury on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at 10 am.

Interment in the Park Lawn Cemetery.

Donations to the M.S. Society, Greater Sudbury Humane Society or the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste Marie would be appreciated.
