For the past 10 days, I have been thinking about a lot about мій брат Peter. While not brothers by blood, Peter was part of my life for as long as I can remember. Our relationship was cemented during the countless hours we spent together in Ukrainian school while growing up. We were the only 2 non-Ukrainian speaking kids in the class and yet somehow, we continued to pass each grade, year after year. These long hours were only tolerable because of Peter. In later years, we would chuckle about the games we used to play to pass the time. Our favourite was called Rogie Perogie and involved a rolled up sock and a makeshift net. Only Peter could have come up with such a name! I can think no one else that had such bright smile and booming laugh. You were one of a kind and will truly be missed. Love Sergei, Julie, Ivan & Viktor
